Why we have three crosses on our logo and the front of our church:

There they crucified him (Jesus), along with the criminals – one on his right, the other on his left. One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Christ? Save yourself and us.”   But the other criminal rebuked him and said to Jesus: “Remember me when you come into your kingdom.”  Jesus answered him, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:32, 39-43 (NIV)

THE CROSS OF REJECTION

Many today are like the criminal on this cross , hurling insults and rejecting  Christ.   Of such Jesus said:  “If you do not believe that I am the One I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins.”  John 8:24.

THE CROSS OF REDEMPTION

The sins laid upon Jesus as He suffered and died were the sins of the world. By this cross, Jesus won heaven for all who believe.  “For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16.

THE CROSS OF REPENTANCE

This criminal believed, and as a result, his sins were forgiven by Jesus. He had no time for performing good works or going to church.  He  simply put his faith in Jesus Christ. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 6:23
