1. This month, our theme is “The Light of Christmas.” As we consider Isaiah 9:2-7 and its reference to a Child Who would be born–a light in the darkness–and as we consider the dark times in which we currently find ourselves, it seems fitting. To begin, Pastor Grafton’s communion meditation and the sermon to follow reminds us that we are sinners in need. Using the experience of his own recent bout with the virus, he speaks to the lingering effects and draws comparisons to sin. However, unlike the virus, sin does have a cure in the person and work of Jesus Christ! As the light of the world, He brings light and life to all who believe, repent, and place their faith and trust in Him.
